September of 2022 will be the ten year anniversary of Hollywood power couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds and it sounds like things are still going strong for the two big name actors. A source told US Weekly that “Blake and Ryan have this unbreakable bond as a couple,” which is something fans will definitely be happy to hear.
“They’re still very much in love,” the source added. “Usually being married for almost 10 years, couples change or grow apart, but not them. They are still head over heels for each other.”
And though they both have very busy schedules, they’re “very secure in their relationship” and find the time to maintain both their connection and raise their three daughters: James, 7, Inez, 5, and Betty, 2. Reynolds recently decided to take a break from acting and work on more of his business endeavors, like Aviation Gin, so he could be available for his kids.
Lively has been shifting her career towards more directing. She helmed the production for her good friend Taylor Swift’s music video for her re-recording of “I Bet You Think About Me,” and her feature directorial debut Seconds will be coming soon.
They both use social media to tease one another and make it clear how deeply in love they still are. But in November 2021, Reynolds won an award at the WSJ Magazine‘s 2021 Innovator Awards and used his acceptance speech to praise Lively very sincerely.
“I want to thank my wife, Blake,” he said. “She is a genius. She’s a renaissance woman. And she pushes me in ways I never imagined I’d be pushed.”
The couple knew each other from working on 2011’s Green Lantern, but they didn’t start dating for a while as they were both seeing other people.
On an episode of the SmartLess podcast in July of 2021, Reynolds said they finally hooked up and then “a week later I was like, ‘We should buy a house together.’ And we did.”
Reynolds added, “We’ve been together almost 10 years. That’s like 45 years in Hollywood terms.”
